...and this funnily enough ...is the back...and now ...all the pages...

I hope you enjoyed this little look at my album.

Scented sachet idea - no sew - With Tonic Studios new Affections dies

There's a lovely new range coming to Create and Craft TV on Friday at noon. (For those in the UK )
It's Tonic Studios Affections die range - and they are just so pretty.

I've used just one of their heart dies in one of the sets to cut into two sides of their Pillow box die. I backed these with different coloured organza, and then filled them with Provence lavender, made a little loop and tied a bow and  - voila - the easiest scented sachets I've ever made.

Have a love - ly day

Goodmorning

Hello there. I never got around to showing you all the other jewellery boxes I made the other week.

As usual, it's been pretty busy around here.

As you can see, I had a lot of fun making pretty jewellery with shrink plastic with this range of dies and punches.

You can find out more details on Blog Tonic.
I also made a plaque for a dear friend who is having a baby very soon.

Today, I am whizzing around - or I will be shortly, getting the place ready for my little 8 year old daughter's birthday party. How the time flies! I'd better get busy, there is much to do! BTW, she was very impressed with the pop up butterflies inside her birthday card!

Have a lovely day

Beautiful itty bitty butterflies

The new Tonic Studios Intrica large butterfly punch cuts through shrink plastic with ease - and doesn't it make the cutest little butterflies ! I took advantage of the new pastel colours of shrink plastic that are now available and made this cute little bracelet.
Of course, it then needed a gift box. I used one of the dies in the gorgeous new Romantic Vine oval die set to cut into the lid of this box and then further embellished it with layers of paper butterflies and a few jewels.
I made a similar box for another piece of jewellery. I'll show you what's inside next time!
Jodie Johnson will be on Create and Craft TV, Tuesdsay at 9pm with the launch of the new products.

Yey...the sun is shining here....must get out in the fresh air! Bye for now

PoP uP Butterflies.

You have to bear a few things in mind when making a card for my almost 8 year old. There must be pink, love hearts, jewels and butterflies in it. I've done my best to meet her critical criteria here. On the front of the card I've used a die from one of Tonic's pop up die sets. I've also used the vine square base from the tea party set and the layering butterflies dies. On the inside, there is a little surprise for her.
I've used the pop up mechanism with some of the layering butterflies so that it is now a pop up butterfly card. Of course I have added the required love hearts too.

Hopefully you can see what I have done here. I have stuck one half of a butterfly on one side of the pop up mechanism and I stuck the other butterfly on the other half so you have them going two different directions.

I wonder what else I can put in a pop up card. Hmmm.

(Here's a picture of my little butterfly whisperer last summer!)

Have a lovely day

Hello, it's me !

Life has been so very, very busy lately. Too much to do. We've had quite a few viewers for the house so things may be looking up regards selling. This also means that one has to keep the place tidy, which is kind of tricky when you are trying to work on various craft projects at once!

We've also been popping back and forth to Glasgow where we are fixing up my son's old student flat with a view to selling it ASAP.

You'd be forgiven for thinking I was missing in action here, so apologies that I have not been updating the blog as I should.

I have posted a few of my makes on to Blog Tonic. So if you hop over there you'll see some of them in greater detail. Here are a few of the things I have been making for the last Tonic Studios release. You may have seen them on Create and Craft TV.

I die cut flock vinyl that you can iron onto fabric.

The top of this card is cut with one of Tonic's gorgeous new header dies. They sold out pretty quick but they will be back in stock before too long.

Keyrings made from a couple of layers of mounting board.

I die cut vinyl to use as a stencil for porcelain paint.

I decorated a wooden frame with paper cut with one of the new header dies. The flower is from Tomato Paste tube punched with one of Tonic's punch and stamp sets.

A made a couple of notebooks with a magnetic closure using the new header dies.

...and I made a plaque to welcome a new baby.

And then, I have been working on some more things but I can't show you them just yet. Not too long now though.

Today I have managed to get a morning to work on a birthday card for my daughter. It's a case of being a card maker who finds it hard to squeeze in time to make cards for her own family! Does that sound familiar? Of course, it just so happens to use some of Tonic Studios lovely dies, so I will be showing it to you shortly. It's OK, she doesn't read my blog so I'm quite safe.

Hope you have a lovely weekend. may the sun shine for you.
