Scripture card
Hi there. I don't usually blog about the Bible verse cards that I make, but for a change I thought I'd show you one I made for my good friend Louise on her birthday. I also made her a wall plaque with a Bible verse. Of course I've used my lovely Tonic Studios dies to decorate it with. I love all their butterfly dies...and the Emily corner die is so delicate and pretty don't you think?
Has Spring sprung in your neck of the woods yet? I hope so.
Have a lovely day.

Tooth Fairy Pillow
My sewing machine is out, and a number of projects will be coming up, although I won't be able to show you some of them for a while...(Top Secret you know!)
For this little pillow I have used some flock t shirt vinyl - which you'll be able to find on Ebay. It is designed to be used with a heat press machine, but I find that with a good firm press with a hot iron, it works great. I used one of Tonic Studios new Fairy dies to cut the little fairy. The tooth was cut with scissors from shiny vinyl. My little tooth fairy pillow hangs from the door handle. Well - have you ever tried to locate a tiny tooth under the pillow of a sleeping child?
My little girl knows that I am actually the tooth fairy.(Funniest looking fairy I've ever seen!) She usually leaves me tiny little notes too which I always respond too. There's just enough room in this little pocket for a tooth, or a tiny note...or even a pound coin!
Have a lovely creative day.

Fairy lights and something fishy
Tonic Studios new Fairy dies are selling out fast. They are so pretty it is not surprising. I used one of the dies to make this battery operated light by setting it into a wooden box frame with vellum behind it. I drilled a big hole in the hardboard at the back of the frame to enable me to get to the switch.
Here it is with the light off. Perfect for a little girls room.
There are also three new gorgeous deep edge punches. I decided to make a guy card with one of mine...although it is a beautiful design that lends itself to so many different ways of using it. This design is called voile valence. Isn't it lovely !
Well, I have much to get on with , so I better go get off the computer now!
Hope you are having a beautiful Spring.

Pincushion Jar
I have made myself several of these pincushion jars in the past. You can find my tutorial here. I find them very handy for keeping sewing essentials in. Perfect for last minute repairs and sewing on missing buttons. This jar was embellished with Tonic Studios lovely new rose strip punch and also one of their dies. Pin cushion jars make nice gifts too if you fill them with a few sewing notions - perfect for a stitch loving friend.
Have a lovely day. Hope the sun shines for you !

Free Square Gift Box Template
I promised you I would give you the template for these little square gift boxes.
I designed it to work perfectly with some of Tonic Studios lovely dies, but you could use it to make a plain box too. I backed the die cut designs with a square of acetate cut just slightly smaller than the lid and stuck with double sided sticky tape.
You could fill your boxes with homemade sweets, soaps, jewellery, or anything you fancy really. The instructions are simple. Cut out the solid lines, and score and fold the dotted lines. I think it's obvious where to glue...I used Tonic Studios Tacky glue as I find this gives me such a good strong hold.
You will notice on the side of the lid in the picture an optional half circle cut out. I use a circle punch to take a bite out of each side first before gluing together. Line up the circle punch so it is halfway across the side of the box and the score line for the tab that folds under is halfway down the aperture in your circle punch.
So without further ado, here are the links to the templates in PDF format.

UPDATE.
I've now quickly made a google website where you can download the PDFs for these templates without having to go through the 4shared rigmarole.

Decorated Glass Candle jar
Here's another of the projects I did for Tonic Studios using some of their latest products. You can find more details of the products I used over at Blog Tonic. With the addition of the strip, the die-cuts and a few jewels I turned something plain and ordinary into a beautiful jar that would make a classy gift.
Hope you're having a lovely day!
