The Criminal
Every night by the pale moonlight
Into my yard crawls a thief.
No plant is free from his gluttonous glee
As he munches through petal and leaf.
It makes no sense to leave evidence
When committing so greedy a crime.
But my powers of deduction
Soon traced the destruction
It was easy – I followed the slime
What great photos and a good looking snail...probably so good looking because he is not in my garden. ;-)
ReplyDeleteThese poems made me smile! Amazing photos too! Found you by way of Karla D, and so glad I did! I was just musing about "who" may have munched their way through the leaves on my rose bush...I'm going to look for the slime trail :-)
ReplyDeleteI really don't like snails, but this one has a cool shell. Great photographs, and love your poems, Doda!
