lovely new baby boy. I was going to applique some
bibs for him, but because I've been feeling
snotty and grotty, I just couldn't face it.
(He'll get the bibs sometime later.)
I was doing some doodling last night and came up with this idea.
Now to use my watercolours for the first time in ages.
Hopefully it will get me back into the swing of painting.
I do miss painting
(I'm really pleased with the two new
palettes I got at Tescos. £1 for 2!)
That is very cute--I can't wait to see it colored!
ReplyDeleteOh, those drawings are really cute.
ReplyDeleteGo Doda!
ReplyDeleteThat's a gorgeous wooden paint box you have there, and bargain prices palettes. You know how to shop!
I had a botanical (manical) watercolour teacher who scolded us if we used anything less than white porcelain palettes - death for our precious brushes otherwise.
Can't wait to see the end piece all awash with colour.
Thanks...
ReplyDeleteCindy, I have a thing about the aesthetics of my equipment. If I don't have the right box for my paints, or the right mug for my water and paintbrushes, it doesn't feel right when I paint!!!
That's a bit sad isn't it?
(the box is a Windsor and Newton wooden box and it contains W&N artists watercolours. My favourite brush is a kolinsky sable number 1!
Hi Doda,
ReplyDeleteI love your new little watercolor, very fresh and clean looking colors!
I'm looking for loose individual pan colors of watercolor like you have there, I can't remember who sells them, do you?
thanks,
Mary
Thanks Mary, I bought mine at a company called Great Art.
ReplyDeleteBut for the US, you can order them at Dick Blick http://www.dickblick.com/products/winsor-and-newton-artists-watercolor-half-pans/
