I found a feather today.
And as I contemplated it's beauty,
I thought to myself.
If this one feather was the whole sum of creation,
I would still marvel at our awesome God,
who created such intricacy, such perfection.
And yet, this is but one small part,
in the construction of a bird.
And, if that one bird was the whole sum of creation,
I would still marvel at our awesome God.
who created so wonderfully,
this creature who commands the air,
and sings so sweet,
And yet, this is but one small part,
of God's whole creation.
And I marvel at our awesome God

Feathers are a symbol of so many things - no wonder the Indians used them in their headdress.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful post!
ReplyDeleteHi Doda,
ReplyDeleteI marvel everyday as well.
I just bet you have an AWESOME feather collection - I know I can't help myself. Even my husband and son will take the time to stop and pick them up especially for me.
I have a beautiful feather painting from another Aussie bird artist - Sue Kalab. She's just about to hold another exhibition at the Kingfisher Gallery(dedicated to wildlife & botanical art). It's a shame that I live so far away now.
I've added you to my links, hope you don't mind.
Warm regards,
Cindy
I might just have one or two feathers Cindy. I get some funny looks when I get all excited because I have picked up a pretty one!
